Goodbye iPhone Nano
2:46 PMI have officially been inducted into the society of Smartphone users.
My little iPhone Nano* was getting old and tired. She was a hand-me-down from my brother-in-law Mark after he got a Smartphone. I did hold out for a long time though...looking up directions on Google Maps and writing them on a post-it note that I would stick to my windshield...using T9 to write text messages...lugging my scriptures and lesson manuals to church every Sunday...
One time I was riding home on the metro and someone said, "Excuse me, is that a phone?" More commonly I have been asked, "What is that?" People are amazed to find out that it is in fact a phone and not just some Happy Meal toy. Come on people, don't act like you've never seen a non-Smartphone before. It hasn't been that long.
For the last two years you have faithfully made my phone calls and sent my text messages...but it's just not enough anymore. I'm sorry my little phone...I just need to move on.

It's only been two days...but now that I've gone Smartphone, I can never go back. I love it.
*iPhone Nano was a nickname given to my phone by Matthew. He thought it was pretty funny how many people would ask me about my phone, so he suggested that I tell people it was an iPhone Nano.
